Washington Inn
Harleysville, Pennsylvania
circa 1750
In October of 2018 a small group of folks close with Kevin Durkin flew from Waco, Texas to Harleysville, Pennsylvania on a mission to clear out and document a historic inn, with hopes to move it to Texas!
Kathryn’s Involvement:
Began with emptying the building, shoveling waste and driving the skid steer to and from the dumpster.
Overseeing work on site, ensuring the historic millwork would not be damaged.
Timber frame documentation; measuring & sketching the floor plans and elevations, tagging each timber with labeling system, creating an accurate 3D model of existing structure.
Collaborate with Founder, Kevin Durkin on design direction; barn frame alterations, spatial planning, cabinet details, & color considerations.
Create construction documents; floor plans, elevations, sections, RCPs, electrical plans, & construction details.
